The DHMS Library sponsors many book clubs to meet a variety of reading needs. ​
​Clubs meet during ELT (first period), during lunch, and after school. 
Please contact Ms. Kochel if you are interested in joining one of these clubs.

Overbooked

Picture
Overbooked, our after school book club, is open to all students. We meet on Wednesdays after school from 4-5 p.m. Once a month we discuss a book, and the other weeks we promote reading, play games, and do other fun book-related activities. Club sponsors are Ms. Kochel (librarian) and Ms. Mitchell (6th language arts) and Ms. Liebman (8th language arts).

Project LIT

8th graders who want to read diverse books about people who frequently don't have a voice in literature have started a new chapter of ProjectLIT at DHMS. Student leaders are taking charge of this club made up of over 60 eighth graders.
